Jan and the Tomatoes

Anna {author of one of my favorite blogs, Rummey Bears} wrote about this lovely experience a stranger gave her,
and I'm so touched and inspired I have to share it with you!

Come along, join me in the warm-fuzzy feeling!

Content

con·tent (kn-tnt)
adj.
1. Desiring no more than what one has; satisfied.

I found myself to be absolutely content more than once today. Now, sitting in my clean quiet house, with my honey on the way home from the local market with beer and the makings for spaghetti, I'm feeling it once again. Ahh, life is good on nights off.

Weekend!

I'm excited for the weekend.
Even though I work every weekend, there is still something in the air..
everything seems more fresh and fun for these three days!

My plans include:

yoga,

repotting some plants,

drinking beer with our neighbors,

getting a pedicure,

cleaning house,

another delicious brunch at 94th Aero Squadron with the ILTB (in-laws-to-be),

hanging out at a family BBQ,

and hiking Cowles.

What are you looking forward to this weekend?

Golden Wedding Touches

How jealous am I that this fabulous lady made her own dress?!
It's perfection with the little gold leaves and waistband and trim!!

So whimsical, cute, and elegantly simple all at once.

And those sandals rock! I want to wear sandals on my WD. I hate dancing in heels!
{Ok ok, maybe heels for the ceremony, so I can actually look him in the eye.}

Thankful Thursday: Date Days and Nights

{Pardon someone's thumb, it didn't look right cropped}

I
'm Thankful for Date Days and Nights.
{Also thankful for Laugh Lines, and the people in my life who have caused mine}

Last Sunday Date Day we went to 94th Aero Squadron {I know, isn't that a funny name?} for a late, leisurely brunch.
It's a cute replica of a WWI French Farmhouse, and they have tons of war relics throughout the place.
{Don't even get me started on the amazing buffet~ there was a chocolate fountain for strawberry dipping!}

{Man and nature, Yup}

I love the music they have wafting through, and the garden is so sweet and relaxing, with little nooks to tuck into
as well as space to sprawl out.
{The netting on the right in the below shot is the home of the ducks. Fat happy ducks with a pretty fountain flowing into their pond! Awesome.}

After brunch we sat in the sun and relaxed and watched the planes taking off and landing.
I was too lazy to take any more than the three photos I did, which scarcely do the place justice.
{They have much prettier photos on their
site, if you'd like to have a look.}

We drove around and looked at more planes from various points around the airport
{can you tell we both like planes and flying~ just a little?}

After all that eating and relaxing, we needed a break {hey, don't judge!} so we went home and chilled out a bit.
Later we walked down to our local wine bar for some treats on the patio.

This was my first time actually having wine and cheese, and I'm a fan. That green sage cheese? YUM.

Typical Us. Which I love. <3

Jessica's "Daily Affirmation"

I love this totally spontaneous moment.
We all can feel this blessed about our daily lives!
Just takes practice. ;)

Family Photos

My niece Skyla loooves getting motorcycle rides. Especially from Grandpa!
{Auntie Bethany got her that adorable dress btw}

{Thought I'd share some {more} family photos from our last visit to Idaho, since looking through them makes me endlessly
happy and grateful to not only have a big fabulous family full of love, but to be healthy and able-bodied, the lot of us.}

Aww, Brother Nick (Brother #2 of 5) and I having a brotherly-sisterly moment atop the hill at dusk. {yes yes I know it's blurry}
{Nick is a very patient teacher, whether it be fishin, trackin, or tennis!}

I love this pic of Brother Jeff (Brother #3) at Nate's, our favorite pizza place, after he let me give him a really awesome bratty haircut.
{..to match his awesome bratty personality. Reminds me of someone.. Oh yes! Me!}

Remember my preemie nephew Levi? I got to meet him, and he's the sweetest!

Sisters on the dock. {me (Sister #1,) Rachelle (Sister #2,) Andrea (Sister #3)}

I love that Brad (Brother #1) loves taking photos as much as I do.

Rachelle has so many expressions.
{It's ironic that she communicates so well with the camera and yet hates to be photographed}

I like this pic not because I look particularly good, but because it reminds me of being up there, at Lake Coeur D'Alene, whole and peaceful.

Backyard Wedding

I want a backyard wedding just like this..

Easy, breezy details. More scenery than fuss.

I mean, these tables are PERFECTION. Burlap and muslin? LOVE.

{via style me pretty}

We shall see, my pretties.

Thankful Thursday: The Basics

I'm Thankful:

- I have a steady job, and a steady income. Even if the former makes me want to explode most of the time, it's still better than not being able to pay my bills.

- My man also has a steady job/income. Even if it makes us both want to explode, it's not forever, soon he'll be working for himself.

- Even when we're 'hurtin' and don't have any savings, we can still eat whatever we want. We can still have a bottle of wine, or go out for dinner. Or both. ;)

- Everything I've ever truly set my intentions for has manifested.

- I have a roof over my head, a space that is all our own (even if we can't turn around without ramming into one another.)

- I have a best friend. I can't imagine not having her. She's been in my life for over half of it now and I hope will remain to see the rest of the show.

- I'm finally establishing exercise as a habit. Something I need in order to feel right about my day, like brushing my teeth. Feels good!

- I have easy access to all kinds of educational opportunities. And a vague direction. And I'm going to go see a counselor soon and start on a new adventure!

- Our perfect next home will show up at just the right time, and moving will be a joy.

What are YOU Thankful for today?

Crafty Wreaths

Adorable wreaths.
{I'm quickly becoming a Hedgehog fan, too. They're so cute and bumbling!}

Nautical Stars, silver leaves, and mushrooms?
Sign me up, I want to hang one of these in my house!

Wine-Oh! Part 2

That's right, more pictures from our fabulous visit to the ever fabulous-er Churon Inn and Winery!

I love the above image.. Her outfit seems so 70s to me- that's one of the things I love about my PLP, her hippy-yet-funky vibe.

PLP said if a crow looks you in the eye, it's good luck. This one was flirting with her..

Don't you just want to have a picnic or grab a book and just plop down??
(We did, in the sun, with our wine. It was rad.)

Happy.

Love vineyards.

I could get used to this!

Something was funny apparently..

Love, sweet love..

During the grand running, jumping on, and rolling off of the bed times.
{If your screen is wide enough you can see PLP in the background, completing a stunning maneuver, and my love is about to go for his own glory.. } ;)

My man actually snapped this and the next one. Good job, Babe!

It's hilarious to me how hard it is for PLP and I to get good pics together when we're lookin cute.
Everything was a blur at that point anyway.. we were stoked on something, that's for sure!

We were all feelin the love that day. (Why Babe has his sunglasses on at night, idk)

After we left, PLP got ENGAGED! Perfect end to a perfect birthday for her, I'd say!!
{SOO ecstatic for you guys!}
