Cheese Party!

The Cotswold was good. Really onion-y and rich.

That Brie with Butternut Squash Puree, along with some honey? HEAVEN.

{This is what happens when you turn my old friend Jason and I loose in Whole Paycheck 
(his nickname for Whole Foods) with a gift card, healthy appetites, and plans for a wine and cheese party!}

We made Canapes (I learned a new word!) with Artichoke Hummus, Roasted Tomatoes, and Pesto.

Love me some Gouda.

Growing up I always preferred milk chocolate. I have now officially crossed over to the dark side (see what I did there? haha).

Gruyere is my new favorite. I can't wait to make apple grilled cheese with that stuff!

I had never had an Asian Pear before. Great texture!

Purple Haze was a big hit, but the flavors had nothing to do with the name as far as I could tell.

  1. I love the phrase, "I love me some Gouda." It sounds wrong and suggestive and hilarious, which is why I like it. I'm actually going to send a link to this post to a friend (one of the ones I saw this weekend at my early Thanksgiving). She referred to herself a "cheese snob."

    Also, I'm sorry to hear about your breakup; though I'm sure you have many, many memories associated with that relationship (especially ones that make you laugh), I hope that this decision doesn't haunt you. No matter what--whether you are intended with someone else for you are intended to be with him--things will work out.
